Learning Outcomes for New Student Orientation
Orientation is designed to help students understand YC resources, expectations, support services, and next steps.
- Learn about campus resources.
- Become familiar with at least one department location and its services.
- Build an understanding of strategies for student success.
- Meet at least one other student, staff member, or faculty member.
- Learn about YC Promise eligibility and timeline information.
- Recognize the importance of campus activities, clubs, and events.
- Identify and locate key campus resources, including advising, tutoring, and food services.
- Understand how and when to connect with student support services.
- Gain confidence and tools needed to be successful as a YC student.
